Daniel ("Dan") Wilde is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
He received his PhD from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA, MAcc, and CPA. Prior to life in academia, his journey spanned entrepreneurship, public company auditing at EY, and serving as a Controller/CFO-for-hire for startups. This blend of academic training and industry experience inspires his research and consulting.
His research explores how managers and entrepreneurs build superior foresight and make strategic commitments under uncertainty. It has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and has been gratefully recognized with several field-level awards, including the Outstanding Dissertation Award, multiple Distinguished Paper Awards, Behavioral Strategy Best Paper Prize, Finalist for Industry Studies Association Dissertation Award, and INFORMS Dissertation Proposal Award Runner-Up. He also currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of Organization Science.
His research has also helped many practitioners including Owens Corning, Vanguard, and Behavioralize. One past client remarked that my research was "One of the most helpful professional presentations I have received in my entire career."
His wife and four kids live in Bloomington, IN.
